Awful Opened this up to put batteries in. There were batteries already installed that had corroded. It was a mess and totally unusable.
Bad battery life Overall my baby girl loves the toy but the rust and battery is concern. After 3 use the battery is out because it does not have a turn off switch and the only way to turn it off is to dry the bottom of it. Also I notice a small amount of rust building up in the sensory metal probe.
Ordered two and both were defective Of the two I ordered they both sprayed water but only one quacked and the other lit up. The quacking is constant. Drives you crazy. But they are fountains and fun.
Water got inside and ruined its quack/fountain Within a few days water got inside and this doesnt work anymore. I have it sitting on an orange cloth on the tub but I wish it worked because it was cute. I did try to replace the batt. and still didn't work.I'm actually not fully satisfied with it anyway my son didn't particularly find it funny. He seemed more confused by it than amused and usually he laughs at ducks quacking.Obviously when working the water action is educational and sensational for babies which is cool. I liked that fountain part because it added some fun to the bathtime for me anyway not sure he noticed it.
Waste of money Initially this worked great until it was dunked in the water. After this the 'singing' could not be turned off until the batteries were removed. After they were dried and replaced it never worked again. Life of this toy about 10 minutes a total waste of money.
I Am Hoping that It Breaks Oh my God is this toy annoying. It quacks nonstop from the moment it touches the water until you take it out. It's so bothersome that even my 2 year old isn't interested in playing with it. If it doesn't break on its own soon I may have to help it along.
Fountain Duck I bought my son this product. his fountain duck flashes red it also quacks and the water sprouts up about 10 inches. He really loves it.There is a rubber seal which keeps the battery compartment dry. I would recomend this bath toy to any child. My son is going to use it in his grandfathers pool this summer. I myself was amazed because the fountain squirted higher than I expected. Also I was surprised that it had a blinking red light. My son is 7 years old. The duck even has painted on eyelashes!!!! Thank you for making such a great product.
A rubber duck with a fountain in his head a silly concept but fun! I bought this for my 5year old daughter thinking that she would enjoy it at bath time. Boy was that ever an understatement!I didn't have very high expectations and didn't expect it to last very long. Think about it a batteryoperated toy a tub full of water and a 5year old. Not generally a good combination. Well I have to admit the first thing I did was pull the zinc/carbon batteries out and install alkalines. I also liberally coated the little seal for the battery compartment with Oring grease there was no coating on it that I could see.It has gone through two sets of batteries already and is on the third set. So far I have seen absolutely NO signs of leakage into the battery compartment and my daughter does tend to try and drown the duckie from time to time by holding it completely under water. A set of batteries will last quite a while much longer than I would have guessed. And the fountain is respectable it will go over the edge of the tub at times but hey that's what towels are for.So it's not really an educational toy but it IS fun. And at least the one I bought works 100%. I would recommend putting alkaline batteries in it and I do think the Oring grease has contributed to the life of the duckie so you may want to consider doing that as well it may void the warranty if there is one however.
